About Thompson + Pollari

With collective experience that runs decades deep, the architecture office of Thompson + Pollari has established a solid reputation for work based on sound planning and programming as the foundation for the firm’s work. We maintain a high level of responsiveness to individual clients, and to the various factors at work in any given project environment. We take into consideration the enterprise at hand, the environment in which it is situated, and the project’s place in the community to inform planning and design ideas. Our work process, which emphasizes open dialogue, has proven to be especially successful when working in the context of Native American communities, allowing us to properly recognize and appropriately express cultural traditions.

ThompsonBased in Scottsdale, Arizona since 1997, we are naturally passionate advocates of our sensitive desert environment. We are an expert resource on passive solar energy design and shading design, which anchors the broader scope of sustainable strategies we bring to every project. The office is experienced in LEED projects, with a long history in early green projects from work in New Mexico during the 1970s. Combining strong backgrounds in design for educational institutions with sustainable design techniques, we have found a special niche in master planned communities for both affordable and market-rate housing. We often find we exceed our client’s expectations of what is possible within the pro forma, both in quality of design and density build-out.
